AN E-THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK – “Sight is not faith, and hearing is not faith, neither is feeling faith; but believing when we neither see, hear nor feel is faith; and everywhere the Bible tells us our salvation is to be by faith. Therefore we must believe before we feel, and often against our feelings, if we would honor God by our faith.”  —Hannah Whitall Smith

Please join OCUMC for another COMMUNITY MOVIE NIGHT If you missed the first one, we have another opportunity for you and your family to join in the super-sized fun!  Help us celebrate our food drive by joining us on Friday, March 12th for a family movie in super screen format from 6:30 – 9:30pm.   Donate one canned food item per person for admission.  Bring your blankets and pillows, wear your pajamas if you’d like, pack a snack basket for your family, and join other families around the community to enjoy some quality family time to a ‘PG’ rated movie in our sanctuary. Parents must be in attendance with their children.  WE will be showing ‘Bolt’. So come and watch the super-dog amaze us with his super human powers and his keen ability to find his way home and into our hearts along the way!

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS – Sun, March 14.  Don’t forget to “spring forward” and set your clocks one hour ahead on Saturday evening.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING – Sun, March 14.  Your special offering will help cover the administrative costs for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and allow them to keep the promise that 100% of every other contribution made to a specific project will be spent on that project and not on administrative costs.  UMCOR responds to natural or human made disasters - those interruptions of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community's ability to recover on its own.  UMCOR's mission is to alleviate human suffering, providing practical, proactive support to the most vulnerable survivors of chronic or temporary emergencies due to natural or civil causes.  You can donate to relief efforts in Haiti and Chile – just write your check to “OCUMC”, denoting where you want to help.  If you want more information about UMCOR and its ministry, go to their website at www.umcor.org.

"UNDIE SUNDAY", March 21.  Women's Ministries is sponsoring this special clothing drive and asking everyone to bring new packages of children's socks and underwear.  These items will be donated to the Clackamas Women's Services for families in shelters.  To learn more about the Clackamas Women's Services, visit their website at www.cwsor.org.
