Scripture – We believe that scripture is the primary guideline for faith and practice.  As we open our minds and hearts, faith is born and nourished and our faith and beliefs expanded and enriched.

Tradition – God did not cease speaking once the scripture was completed.  God has continued to communicate. 

Experience – The living Lord still speaks, directs and informs us today.  Our own experience with God helps illuminate, deepen and empower our life.

Reason – God has given us the gift of reason, to question and seek understanding.

Exploring Membership

 When you join the church, you will make several vows:

We welcome you and celebrate your decision to become part of this family of God.  As a member of Christ’s universal church, will you be loyal to the United Methodist Church, and do all in your power to strengthen its ministries?      I Will

As a member of this congregation, will you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, presence, your gifts, and your service?       I Will

Baptism and membership are both personal decisions that we want you to be sure about before you make your commitment. 

If you choose baptism and/or membership, Pastor Gerry will meet with you for further discussion to answer your questions.
