We have been exposed to so many meanings for the word LOVE that we may miss the true significance of Jesus’ words.  Jesus is talking about an entirely different kind of love than what we might see in movies, sitcoms, comedies and read in novels. 

This scripture sets the groundwork for everything that happens in the church.  If you understand this scripture, live it every day of your lives, and as a congregation act in this kind of love, it can be world-changing.  It can certainly change your congregation.  People want to be in a place where they experience love that is personal, supportive, and faith-building.

You also will reserve your spot in the LOVE Ministry Training Event held at Oregon City United Methodist Church. 

LOVE Sermon & Study Series

In this LOVE Study Series, you will explore the deeper meaning behind this scripture, and how you, as followers of Christ, are called to live them out in your life. 

Through this 5-week sermon series and study, you will explore the depths of God’s love and the possibilities for deepening your own ability to love as Christ commanded.

Participants will hear the weekly sermons and then reflect on the meaning as they join their small group that meets weekly for discussion and personal sharing. 

This LOVE Study Series will prepare the congregation for their part in LOVE Ministry.
