"Jonah: An Overboard Adventure"

Kids will have a “whale of a good time” laughing and learning with the VeggieTales characters!  They will journey inside the belly of a fish, travel to faraway Palace of Ninevah, explore the captain’s quarters on a boat, come to the crossroads and follow the harbor light. 

Kids will be put into 5 groups, according to age.  Groups will visit a different station each day, learning valuable life lessons as they go.  Everyone will also enjoy a snack and get to play outside or have an indoor recess.  On our last day, Friday, we will have a special showing of “Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie!” after our lessons conclude at noon.  We hope you can all stay and watch it with us—of course we won’t forget the popcorn!

This year everyone attending VBS is invited to perform a skit & sing songs at OCUMC’s 2nd annual Neighborhood Block Party on August 2nd showcasing what we learned during the week!  Bring the family for a summertime barbecue, fun, & fellowship where we’ll dazzle them with the performance of a lifetime!

To pre-register your child/ren, stop by the church office (hours M-F, 9am-1pm) and pick up a form or call 503-656-3433 or e-mail ocumc@clacknet.com, and they will send you a form.  Please note that class sizes are limited, so make sure to get your registration in as soon as you can!  There is no charge to attend VBS, but freewill donations to cover the costs of materials will happily be accepted!
