ANNOUNCEMENTS – If you want an announcement included in the weekly update, please be sure it gets to the office (call, e-mail or put in "office" box) by the Sunday deadline.
CLEANING PARTY! Sat, February 25, 9am-12noon. Plan to help with our church’s “Spring Cleaning” to make our building sparkling clean. Cleaning supplies will be provided, but you also can bring your own. There will be a special task for everyone – “many hands make light work” – and make it fun!
“ASSET MAPPING” CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – Sun, February 26, 11:30am-1:30pm. You are invited to stay for lunch and to take part in the discussion to help identify how we can leverage the assets we have to meet the real needs of our city.
WOMEN’S FASHION RE-SALE – Fri & Sat, March 16 & 17, 10am-2pm. While you’re doing your spring cleaning, please save your gently-used women’s clothing and accessories to bring in for this sale – formerly called “Fashion Trunk Sale”. (You can bring your items to the church beginning Sun, March 11.) Then be sure to bring your friends and neighbors to the sale – everything will be sold for $2, $4 or $6! Proceeds will benefit Women’s Ministries.
FANTASTIC FUN NIGHT! – Fri, March 9, 6-9pm. An evening of fun for the whole church family! Bring your favorite board game, a snack item to share and donations of canned food for HOPE.
5TH ANNUAL OC COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE – April 9-27, 2012. Our church is again coordinating this community-wide food drive to help fill the pantries of our HOPE (Helping Other People Eat) host churches! Local businesses and stores, churches and schools are participating – some will have barrels for food contributions and some businesses will get a contribution jar to fill. Please bring in your empty plastic mayonnaise jars. Watch to find out other ways you can help before, during and after the food drive!
GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP 2012 – Members of Oregon City UMC, Crossroads UMC (Kimberly ID) and friends will participate in a short term mission trip to Guatemala on October 22 – November 5, 2012. Our main focus will be construction work and VBS at the Methodist camp near Santa Cruz del Quiche. Before leaving the country we will visit Chichicastenango, LakeAtitlan and Antiqua. CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE – Save your rummage items (clean and in good condition) for our Rummage Sale that will be scheduled on a weekend in August.

February 16 – “Chocolate Boutique” study, 1:30-2:30pm (and every Thursday through March 15). Ladies, you’re invited to this weekly study of God’s grace meeting at Susan Ronfeld’s home, 18774 Conifer Dr, OC. Call Susan at 503-650-6459 for more information.

February 19 – Hearing Health demonstration, 11:30am
February 19 – Willamette Falls Symphony, 3pm. “The Footsteps of a Giant” with selections from Brahms and Wagner. The winners of the orchestra member competition will also perform a movement from the works of Mozart, Kabelevsky and Tartini. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors & students and children under 12 are free with adult or senior. Check out the flyer on the bulletin board for more information.
February 21 – Men’s Night Out, 6pm. (Postponed a week to avoid Valentine’s Day!)Meet at the church at 5:30 to carpool or meet at 6pm at Stanley’s Corner, 19905 McLoughlin, Gladstone.
February 21 – Trustees Team, 7pm.
February 22 (& every Wed) – Men’s Prayer Breakfast, 6:30am. Meet at Shari’s in the Berryhill Shopping Center, Beavercreek Road, OC.
February 22, Pancake Supper, 6pm. This annual dinner is provided by the Women’s Retreat alumni with proceeds going to provide retreat scholarships.
February 22 (& every Wed) – Wednesday Night Program. Come and enjoy the fellowship and the fun! Dinner (Pancake Supper) will be served in the WorshipCenter, 6-6:45pm. The Kid’s Zone, from 6:45-7:45, for kids 3 years – 6th grade meets in Room 5-6. The Youth Zone, from 6:45-7:45pm, for 7th-12th graders meets in Meggan’s Corner. Living the Word, 6:45-7:45pm, is a time of sharing and discussion in the Heritage Room. Music rehearsal, 6:45-7:45pm, new singers are always welcome.
February 24 – Kid’s Night Out, 6-9pm. An evening of fun for ages 0 years – 6th grade. The fee is $5/child for the evening and includes a light supper. Please RSVP to the office by Wed, Feb 22.
February 25 – Cleaning Party!, 9am-12noon. Come help with our church’s “Spring Cleaning”.
February 26 – Asset Mapping Lunch and Meeting, 11:30am.
February 28 – Book Discussion Group, 7pm. Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
February 29 – Reading Night, Spaghetti Dinner at 5:45, Book Readings start at 6:30. Join us for this special event sponsored by our Preschool! (There will be no Kid’s or Youth Zone or “Living the Faith” adult class.)

SON Network – Our next session is scheduled for Sunday, March 4 through Sunday, March 18. The S.O.N. (Sheltering Our Neighbors) Network is a joint ministry of Clackamas County churches providing emergency shelter for homeless families. Ladies’ Spring Tea, Sat, May 5, 1-2:30pm. Ladies of all ages are invited to this wonderful afternoon event! We will have luncheon and desserts, a wonderful program, activities for the younger ladies, and lots of surprises!
