Advent and Christmas Events

Advent means “coming”.  It is a time of expectation and joy, a time to prepare your heart and home for the celebration of Jesus’ birth at Christmas.

The Advent season begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Eve.  During Advent, we remember the wait for Jesus’ birth and celebrate the presence of His Spirit in our lives.

Focusing on the true meaning of Christmas can help you keep the season meaningful and joyful – and less stressful!  Make time for yourself and take a few moments each day to reflect on what’s really important: following Jesus’ model of love and compassion with family, friends and you community.

Night in Bethlehem

Rescheduled due to winter weather!
Sun, January 11, 5-7pm

Our Worship Center will once again become the town of Bethlehem for the evening.  You can come dressed in costume (robe) if you want, or just come as a modern day pilgrim to Bethlehem.

There is no cost to attend, but you will be given a bag of coins to “spend” throughout the town as you enjoy the many shops and their goods.  You can go to the "inn" for a supper of soup and bread as well as enjoying the variety of treats and goodies at the booths.

Then you will be able to enjoy the program portion of our evening that will include singing carols.  There will be a special musical treat from our Sunday School children, ending with all kids attending being asked to come up and join in singing "Jingle Bells".  Then all the kids will have parts in a simple play to help us remember the very first Christmas.

Advent Worship Services

Our regular 10am Worship Services during Advent – November 30, December 7, 14, & 21 – will be anticipating the coming of Jesus in "hope", "love", "joy" and "peace".  We will begin each service singing carols and lighting the Advent candles, one each Sunday as we look forward to lighting the Christ Candle at our Christmas Eve Service.

Christmas Eve Service
